New Massachusetts Mulch Regulation Started September 1st
Although mulch is a staple in most landscaped yards, State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan says mulch is combustible and dangerous.  As a result, a new mulch safety regulation took effect on September 1st. The regulation was developed in response to a rash of fires in the Massachusetts involving mulch-wood products.
